…Queremos mantener a la persona espiritual más pesada. La queremos con los pies firmes. Queremos mantener a la persona espiritual en control de nuestras vidas. Queremos mantener a la persona física aquí ---.  ¿Han notado como al final de una asamblea ustedes están espiritualmente enfocados, que se sienten muy bien?  Eso es porque nuestro persona espiritual esta engordada. La hemos alimentando durante tres días. Pero vuelven al mundo y sienten que empiezan a desequilibrarse. Así que, mantengan a ésta persona espiritual engordada, manténganla bien alimentado por medio del estudio personal y la lectura de la Biblia. De hecho, al final del día usted podría incluso preguntarse, ¿qué le he alimentado a mi persona espiritual hoy? ¿Qué le he alimentado a mi persona física hoy? Si usted regularmente aprovecha toda la ayuda que Jehová provee, no caerá victima indefensa ante el temor.

Tenemos un par de hermanas que queremos entrevistar. Primeramente, tenemos a la hermana Melanie Thomas; Ella es de la Congregación del noroeste de Knoxville. Melanie tiene diez años y se bautizó a finales del año pasado en noviembre.

[Tengo] un par de preguntas para ti, Melanie:

[Pregunta]: ¿Contra qué temor has luchado desde que te dedicaste a Jehová?

[Respuesta]: Un temor especifico tiene que ver con una de mis hermanas que esta expulsada y que me contactó antes de mi bautismo para animarme a que siguiéramos en contacto, y aunque la extraño y la amo, yo sé que si sigo en contacto con ella me sería difícil cortar la comunicación una vez que la comience.

[Pregunta]: ¿Cómo te ha ayudado Jehová a vencer ese temor?

[Respuesta]: Jehová me ha ayudado en muchos sentidos.  El me dio el valor para hacerle frente y decirle que tenía que cortar la comunicación por completo con ella, porque no quería arruinar mi relación con Jehová, y él también conoce acerca del dolor y la soledad que me produce no tenerla. De modo que, cultivar mi relación con Jehová mediante la oración y el estudio, me ha ayudado con éste y todos mis temores.

We want to keep the spiritual man heavier.  We want to him with his feet on the ground.  We want to keep the spiritual man in control of our lives.  We want the physical man up here ----.  So have you ever notice at the end of a convention, how spiritually focused you are? How good you feel? That’s because our spiritual man is fat. We fed him through three days. But we get back to the world and you feel like you begin to balance out of the way.  So keep this spiritual man fat, keep him well fed through personal study, bible reading.  In fact, at the end of the day you might even ask yourself, what have I fed my spiritual man today? What have I fed my physical man today?  If you regularly take advantage of all that Jehovah provides, you will never become a helpless victim of fear. 


Well, we have a couple of sisters that we want to interview.  First we have Sister Melanie Thomas; she’s from the Knoxville Northwest Congregation.  Melanie is ten years old and she was baptized late last year in November.

So, a couple questions for you Melanie:

First of all, what specific fear has at times challenged you in your service to Jehovah?
Well, a specific fear deals with one of my sister, who is disfellowshipped, and she contacted me before my baptism and was encouraging me to keep in contact with her, and even though I did miss her and love her, I know that if I did maintain contact with her, it would be difficult to stop communicating with her if I started it.

Okay, well, thank you for sharing that.  Now, Melanie, how has Jehovah helped you to overcome that fear?

Jehovah has helped me in many ways.  He gave me the courage to stand up to her and tell her that I couldn’t communicate with her at all because I didn’t want to ruin my relationship with Jehovah, and he also knows that there’s still much sorrow and loneliness from missing her, so growing my relationship with Jehovah through prayer and study has really helped with this and all my fears.
